Kapis Evawear Backstory

Kapis has been faithful to living as she believes felines should among her people as the Cat Lord intended. However, politics being as they are, and felines being horribly misunderstood creatures, the Queen, (Kapis’ mother) has cast her out into the world, forcing her among other races to learn to behave and carry herself as other humanoid creatures do.

While Kapis is able to exhibit this behavior and has grown up taking what etiquette and politics lessons were available, she prefers to be a playful and aloof creature as nature intended felines to be.

As felines are excellent predators, she is also trained in combat and is currently serving as Head of the Guard in her kingdom. However, to appease her mother, she leaves for Icewind Dale to learn from the people and nobility there. In order to portray the demeanor Kapis assumes everyone expects of her, she puts on airs of aristocracy as well as a fake posh accent that she is not very good at. Additionally, you will find her occasionally slipping into old habits, chasing the odd stray string from someone’s tunic or bathing in front of everyone.

She is also easily swayed by saucer of milk or a tasty fish. Ultimately, rather than conforming to the rest of the world’s expectations, Kapis would love to use this time to educate people in the Tabaxi ways and formalize political alliances based on her true nature and not how people expect her to act.
