Session: 20 March 6, 2026 19:00
The party traveled to Caer-Dineval from Easthaven after commissioning fake amulets to use as disguises while inside the castle. While waiting for the amulets to be made, they traveled to Caer-Dineval, to do some reconnaissance.
Solana turned into a small snow rat and snuck around the castle walls. She was able to determine the sort of magic that was being used to protect the area.While exploring the castle wals, Solana came across some snowy hare at play, diving into the snow and burrowing around in the snow. Turning into snowy hare herself, she joined in the fun and dove into the snow where the other rabbits were. Finding an updraft from a grate that lead down under the castle.
She reported back to the party and infomred them about the grate she had found. The party, deciding this was their best entry point to the castle.
After exploring the area under the castle, the party found a group of prisoners that used to work for Speaker Crannoc Seiver. They agreed to draw the party a map in exchange for safe passage out of the castle

The final showdown with Sunblight! They have cut the speed, and power of the Dragoon, but will it be enough to keep him from destroying the party?
The party was smart enough to kill all of the duergar on the floor and prevent Xardorok from regaining hit points, Hawthorne getting the final blow, taking the Dragoon down, and saving Ten Towns from a lifetime of enslavement.

The party has moved to the lowest level of the fortress and have discovered that Hawthorne is not who they originally thought, but instead is a shape changer. They killed a doppelganger that was pissing the party off, and perhaps made a friend in a Goliath from the Akannathi Tribe.
They decided not to fight the Umber Hulk that was killing the Duergar, and instead opted to fight the Quaggoth, Krob, who was tormenting a Myconid Sovereign.

The party continues their exploration of Sunblight Fortress, heading down to the second level of the dungeon

The party started out in a hallway outside the barracks and decided to search around before moving on. They found some random treasure and a secret door in the barracks. The party then discovered a map of Ten Towns that depicted a crystalline dragon destroying the towns. They found Xardorok's bedroom where they discovered a shrine to Deep Duerra and unlocked his footlocker to find a magic dagger, and nearly set off a poison gas trap while looting. Afterward they entered the great hall where they had a conversation with Grandolpha Muzgardt about the plans that Xardorok has for Ten Towns.

The party had their conversation with Kadroth regarding the siege on the Duergar Fortress. He offered them help and answered some of their questions regarding the current affairs of the town.
The party is well aware that Kadroth was lying about most of what he told them. They traveled to Caer-Konig to hire the services of Jarthra a well-known half - orc guide around town. Upon arriving at the fortress the party immediately opened a door to the barracks and found four Duergar at rest. They were dispatched quickly, but not exactly quietly.

Story Recap:
Nearly two weeks ago, a call for volunteers to travel to the town of Termalaine to investigate the local mine that had been taken over by Kobolds, and driven most of the miners out. A meeting was called in Bryn-Shander to seek out volunteers from the towns, those with above average skills that could navigate the dangers of the mines, and deliver the kidnapped miners back to the town safely.
Through some keen scouting, clever tactics and the help of a massive white dragon, this band of heroes managed to drive off or kill the Kobolds that were terrorizing the mines. Giving the gift a white dragon egg to Averturice - The Blizzard Queen.
Our heroes then headed to Bremen where a Plesiosaurus was attacking the boats of the fishermen, preventing the town from gathering enough food to feed the townsfolk. Our heroes used their wits again, trapping the Plesiosaurus, and preventing it from using its massive size against them.
Searching for more leads, and finding very little, the heroes traveled to Caer-Dineval, where they discovered an old inn was being used as a hideout for a band of Duergar that were responsible for a number of thefts and disappearances in several towns. Following a series of tunnels hidden deep underground, the heroes came across a stronghold carved in a hollow beneath the mountains. This hidden outpost was a stronghold for even more Duergar that had not only kidnapped townsfolk to keep as slaves, but were forcing them to mine for gemstones and Chardalyn, a purple hued crystal, that was being sent off through a small tunnel to an unknown location.
The heroes managed to dispatch many of the Duergar in the outpost, but were surprised by an unlikely intruder, Saphella Voxx a servant of Auril stepped in to make short work of Nildar Sunblight, the leader of this group. After rescuing the captured townsfolk, our heroes guided them back through the tunnels, to a trap door the let out in a ruined castle in Caer-Konig.
Most recently, our heroes set out from Easthaven in search of four missing fishermen, who had ventured too close to the northern edge of Lac Dinneshire, a place that many fishermen avoided due to the recent claims of Harpies in the area. While exploring a cave system set in the cliffs at the edge of the waters, they discovered a Sea Hag named Maud who had captured the fishermen, and killed one of them in the course of cooking up her foul concoction.
After a tough fight with Maud and some further exploration of the tunnels, the heroes discovered the rest of the fishermen being tormented by a horde of zombies. Our heroes engaged in a fierce battle with the zombies, in which Solana came close to death, but in the end was revived by her allies, and the zombies were fully dispatched.
The heroes successfully returned to Easthaven and were able to negotiate with Danneth Waylen the town speaker, for a substantial reward and after participating in a seance in which they spoke with the White Lady the Ghost that haunts the lake, eventually settled down for a nights rest.
Session Recap
The party woke from a long rest to discuss their options for moving forward. They discussed selling the Staff of Withering but ultimately decided to keep it for Solana. They also discussed purchasing more Potions of Healing and did buy 3 of them. Hawthorne purchased a disguise kit, comprised of many different costume elements.
Hawthorne is going to keep watch from across the street to watch for intruders.
Session: 11 August 8, 2025 19:00
- The Verdant Cauldron - Kendra - Half-elven woman (thinks Illidan is HOT!!) British Accent, sells potions, ingredients, and recipes.
- The Whispering Willow - Hrothgar - Bugbear male.
- Speaker Waylen - offers 1,000 gp, a spell scroll of fireball, and a Staff of withering.
- Hawthorne is looking for a sealed letter from the Speaker. He is currently thinking this over and will give the PC's an answer in the morning.
- PC's participated in a Seance with Rinaldo that turned out to be quite revealing. The White Lady a ghost that has been haunting Lac Dinneshire for decades possessed Rinaldo and gave the PC's information regarding the Duergar that have been plotting to destroy Ten Towns.

Return to Bremen with the remaining fishermen, on to Easthaven

The PC's met with Danneth Waylen and Captain Arlaggath to discuss the details of the missing
fishermen.
The PC's discussed the details of what needed to be done, and what rewards may
be gained from helping the town. After discussing some terms, the PC's decided to take the quest.
They used a boat offered by the town called the Bunch o'Knuckleheads.
On the way to the
cavern system described by Captain Arlaggath the PC's needed to drag the boat across an ice shelf,
where they were harried by a couple of Harpies. After felling the creatures, they finished their
journey to the caves, and found signs of an attack. They followed the tunnel system to a chamber
where a Sea Hag that named herself Auntie Maud was cooking up some stew, using the mangled body of a
gnome, one of the fishers missing from the town. The PC's fought bravely against the hag, and her
Wight minion.
After a tough battle, the PC's were able to knock the hag unconscious and kill
the Wight.
The PC's woke the hag and questioned her about the missing fishermen, she
admitted to having them around as her pets, and that they were being guarded by her Zombies. The
PC's were debating on taking a long rest before continuing the trek to find the missing fishermen.
Long Rest
If the PC's take a long rest, there will be a random encounter using the Water Weirds that are trapped in the ice shelf that the PC's climbed earlier.During the Second Watch
In the cold, still air of the cavern, the sounds of settling ice echoes around the hollow cave walls. The eerie stillness is suddenly fractured with the sounds of shattering ice, a resounding, cracking noise, followed by the sounds of ice crashing ring out.If the PC's head to investigate, the see two pools of water sitting harmlessly on the ice shelf floor that weren't there before.
If they don't investigate, the sounds of sloshing and water slapping against the ice starts growing closer, and the PC's see two large teal colored serpentine like streams of what appears to be water is slowly crawling towards the camp.

- A creaky, wood ladder descends into an all-encompassing darkness.
- Slowly climb, one by one, down below the surface of the ramshackle inn.
- Silence, and the subtle smell of cedar wood overtake your senses,
- Dimly lit interior washed out by pitch black that fills tunnel below.
- Climbing further down, the comfort and security of the town above waning
- The only sound now is the creak of boots on wooden rungs, and the soft clank of gear
- Several minutes into the descent, the muscles in your arms begin to ach from the repetitive motion, you start to wonder how far down this tunnel goes, when the ground finally comes into view
- A small landing opens into a massive underground cavern
- A several hundred foot long stone bridge spans over an incredibly deep chasm
- Small bits of phosphorescent fungus grow along its edges
- Gives off a faint green-blue glow along sections of the bridge
- Almost ghostly, spectral look in the deep darkness that surrounds it.
DM Notes
- The ladder descends into the tunnel 700 ft.
- It takes about 5 minutes to descend the ladder with the current gear and equipment the PC's carry

Chose treasure from Guard Captain Myles Crane:
- Treasure: 1,000 GP
After discovering and eliminating the threat of a lake monster in Maer Dualdon, and meeting with the captain of the town militia, you were handsomely rewarded and decided to spend some time in Bremen, taking the Dales least exciting tavern crawl, before resting for the evening.
You then traveled to Caer-Dineval and talked to the inn keeper of the Uphill Climb. Having a rapport with the inn keeper, Hawthorne was able to get some information about another strange occurrence in the town. A patron sitting at the bar of the Uphill Climb says he heard what could be voices coming from the closed inn across town. Exploring the inn, you discovered that there were a number of Duergar, gray dwarves from the Underdark, inhabiting the abandoned building. A strange letter from someone called Sunblight seemed to imply that they were here under orders and should remain so.
Investigating the building a little further you discovered a secret door in one of the back rooms that leads into a tunnel that seems to lead down underneath the town. Before venturing further into this unknown tunnel you decided to rest for the night. We pick up now with you having completed a long rest and ready to take on the next part of this venture.
Session: 3 March 7, 2025 19:00
The PC's started the session waking from a long rest, and traveled to Angeliques to collect potions, and Rorick's to collect the pieces they had commissioned.
Fargrym rented an axe beak, Hawthorne and Illidan collected their horses, and Solana wild shaped into an axebeak and carried Kapis as they made for Bremen.
When in Bremen they met with Cora Mulphoon and questioned her about the strange men that came for Howard, and heard the story of how everything came to be.
- Yuri went on a nighttime wander, and Howard joined the search to find him
- The hunting party came back without Howard
- He returned days later with a large chunk of crystal
- Attitude changed, became more standoffish
- Two men came in to speak with him, and he left with them
The PC's met with Grynsk Berylbore on the docks in Lac Dinneshire, and agreed to take out one of his boats and search the lake for a monster that has been attacking the fishermen of Bremen.
- Made plan to use pulleys in boat house to drag creature out of the water
- Managed to stick 4 spears into the neck of the beast, and successfully managed to execute the creature
- Met with Guard Captain Myles Crane and explained the situation to him. He offered them 1,000 GP in equipment, coins, gemstones, and potions
Session: 2 February 21, 2025 19:00
While trying to free the captured miners, you were able to break the ritual that would summon the power of the dragon into the kobold dragonshield
- Managed to distract long enough for the dragon egg to reach out to the dragon that lives in the mountains.
- The dragon fear that permeated the area around the mine scared the kobolds off long enough for you to abscond with the egg.
- While fleeing, a Grell flew in and snagged one of the kobolds that led you to the ritual room.
- You received a dragon scale, and 500 gp for your efforts in clearing out the mines. Which you then spent on a lot of upgraded gear, jewelry, and drinks

Followed PC’s travels around Ten Towns, as they gathered information about various troubles that have been arising within each community
- Gathered all PC’s in Termalaine to deal with the kobold threat in the gem mine.
- Discovered that the kobolds that attacked the mine came here to kidnap and enslave a dragon egg that the miners accidentally uncovered deep in the mine.
- The dragon inside the egg asked you to stop the ritual that was being performed by these kobolds and take it to a white dragon that lives in the area.
- Found the chamber of the mine where the ritual was underway and began to free the captives that were chained to the wall.
